Profile:

Dr Wartan has been a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine since 1997 and has been at the Royal Gwent Hospital since 2001.  She has practiced full time Pain Medicine since 2004.

Dr Wartan trained in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at Guy's Hospital in London.  As a Research Fellow at Guy's Hospital she investigated Phantom Limb Pain and Neuropathic Pain.  She has published in very reputable medical journals and presented at national and international meetings.

Dr Wartan is the Educational Supervisor for Pain Medicine Training at Aneurin Bevin Health Board and has developed the first Pelvic Pain clinic in Wales.
