Professional Profile:

Dr Obuobie qualified from the University of Ghana Medical School in 1991 where he obtained his MB ChB.  Dr Obuobie relocated to the UK for further postgraduate training in 1993.  He completed the Welsh Deanery's specialist registrar training in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine in 2003 and his MD thesis from the Cardiff University in 2007 on 'aspects of vascular function in thyroid disease'.

Dr Obuobie has published papers about his research interests in thyroid disease and general medicine.

Dr Obuobie was appointed to his current post as Consultant Physician with special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Royal Gwent Hospital in 2003.
