Healthcare Assistants

We currently require Healthcare Assistants to work with Palliative Care and Respite Patients.

A commitment to developing knowledge and skills is essential.

NVQ level 2 is required or working towards achieving NVQ Level 2.

Bank Catering Assistant

As and when required, the shift patterns will be as per rota to cover a seven day week service. Rotas will be planned taking into account patient activity and other business needs of the organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or prepared to work towards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working as part of a team assisting in the preparation and service of all catering requirements. This will include the delivery and service to patients at ward level and preparation and service of food within the kitchen and restaurant as directed.

• Working as part of a team ensuring that all required duties are up to date and that all duties are carried out on a regular basis as directed, in line with the departmental task sheets.

• To be able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to adopt a flexible approach to how and when duties are carried out whilst ensuring that all service users are the focal point of activities.

• Working as part of a team, be able to prioritise activity to ensure that a quality service is provided.

SISTERS OF ST JOSEPH OF ANNECY LLANTARNAM ABBEY

Housekeeping/Laundry Service Co-ordinator

37.5 Hours per week
(Flexible over a seven day week)

Key Tasks:

We are currently seeking a person to lead the Housekeeping Team at Llantarnam Abbey.

To manage the Housekeeping Team effectively.

Ensure that a quality Laundry Service is provided.

To arrange and co-ordinate staff training and maintain effective records.

To audit the service on a regular basis.

To provide general housekeeping support to the organisation, to ensure that a first class service is provided at Llantarnam Abbey.

To be responsible for the Housekeeping and Laundry service in accordance with required policies and procedures, e.g. infection control, etc.

To identify and advise when stock needs to be ordered.

To have a working knowledge of COSHH legislation.

To provide practical support to other areas as required.

To deal with all waste in line with the Waste Policy

Experience Required

You should have experience of working in an environment that requires the highest standard of cleanliness, preferably in a lead role.

Excellent communication skills are essential along with the ability to plan the workload of the housekeeping team to meet the needs of the Abbey.

Please note that flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the Abbey, which will include weekend working.
