Mr Robertson graduated from St Andrew's University with a BSc in Medical Science before completing his undergraduate medical training at Edinburgh University. He completed his basic surgical training in Yorkshire, which included stints in orthopaedics, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, neurosurgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery. After obtaining membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh he secured a higher surgical training place in orthopaedics in the Yorkshire Deanery. During this period he became involved in the British Orthopaedic Training Association (BOTA) serving on a number of committee posts including that of President. He represented orthopaedic trainees on the British Orthopaedic Association Council, The Joint Committee of Higher Surgical Training, the Royal College of Surgeons Council and the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Mr Robertson is an Honorary Clinical Teacher at Cardiff University and a Clinical Tutor / Lecturer in Sports & Exercise Medicine at UWIC.
Additional Qulifications:
Postgraduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.
Specialist Training:

Mr Robertson's NHS Practice is based at Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust with duties including the provision of general orthopaedic trauma care at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and his elective practice is based at the Cardiff and Vale Orthopaedic Centre (CAVOC) at Llandough Hospital. He is an appraiser for the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine and is active in the UK Meniscal Study Group.
