Profile:
Mr Rogers was born and educated in Newport. He qualified in medicine in Cardiff in 1992 and then trained in Orthopaedics for 5 years on the Welsh Rotation. After completing his general orthopaedic training he undertook two further specialist training fellowships, the first was at the Pulvetaft Hand Clinic in Derby and from there completed a full one year Hand and Microsurgery fellowship at the world renowned Kleinert Institute in the United States of America.
Mr Rogers has been a Consultant in Newport since 2004. He continues to treat general orthopaedic conditions including the treatment of upper and lower limb fractures as well as performing Hip and Knee replacements. It is not surprising, however, given his extensive specialist training in elbow, wrist and hand surgery that he has developed an extensive practice in these areas.
Mr Rogers also maintains an interest in sports injuries particularly Rugby being part of the Newport Gwent Dragons and Newport Rugby Club medical teams.
