Profile:

Mr Feyi-Waboso has worked in the NHS as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Royal Gwent Hospital since 2001.  Mr Feyi-Waboso sees a broad spectrum of patients and has a specialist interest in Glaucoma.

Mr Feyi-Waboso's basic medical training was undertaken at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.  He began his specialist training in Ophthalmology at Heathfield Hospital, Ayr (now the Ayr Hospital) in 1990. Further Senior House Officer job at Torbay and Exeter, followed by Registrar jobs on the All Wales Rotation culminating in a Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in 2000.  Mr Feyi-Waboso completed the legal Aspects of Medical Practice (LAMP) course at Cardiff University Law Department and teaches Medical Ethics at Cardiff University to medical students.

In 2001 Mr Feyi-Waboso was involved in setting up 'Sight 2020 Direct', a UK based eye charity.

In 2009 Mr Feyi-Waboso took a sabbatical.  He worked for two months in Malawi and a month at the Moorfields Eye Hospital where he had further exposure to the surgical management of complex Glaucoma using Glaucoma drainage devices.
